USB Safely Remove Hardware (Should You Use It?)

Did you know you can pull your flash drive without clicking safely remove?

1. Open Device manager

2. Click on Disk drives > click on your devices > right click and select properties.

3. Default for most USB drive is quick removal where you can pull out the device safely without using Safely Remove Hardware. (But make sure nothing is running from the devices)

Quick removal or Better performance?

-Quick removal is where when you copied a file, the file is directly transfer to your devices, but if the process still not complete (and you pull the devices) the device will loss the data (corrupt).

-Better performance is where when you copied a file, the file is actually not transferring yet, the Windows hold up the process while you using the device for better performance but when you wanna remove the devices, you must use the Safely Remove icon (after that the process will start transferring but not long).

For me, it's better if you use the safely remove hardware to avoid the data corruption. But if you just transferring some sort of documents, you can pull out the devices easily and no worries.

WARNING! :-

1. Before you pull out your devices, make sure nothing from the devices is running or you will lose some data.

2. If you using External Hard Disk Drive, it's better if you using Safely Remove icon.

3. If you unsure about your devices being used or not, use [Unlocker]

Optimize Images for Better Search Engine

Everybody busy about the content but ignore their images. This post will show you a little but important tips how to make use your images to increase traffic and marketing your blog in the web.

1. Rename your images by following your blog post title or permalink.

2. Batch rename your other images. Make sure do not use (SPACE) in the name instead use dash (-).

This will help Google understanding images easily.

Repeat this process on another blog post that has pictures, images. Bots, Spiders from Google will crawl to your website and images, the more data they get about a topic, the more chances of your website will be at the top of search result.

How To Remove Virus Manually (Simple Workaround)

This is basic of security tips you must know before using Linux or other open-sources system since many people nowadays like to use hard way to manage MINOR problems or viruses.

Learn how to use Task Manager & MSConfig. (Most people still don't know how to use this USEFUL tools in their computer)

The task manager and msconfig is the one you should use to check unknown (virus) process from running in your computer. Because viruses that run in your computer (the process can be seen on Task Manager and the startup can be seen on MSConfig)

To open task manager, you can use :-

- Shortcut search : taskmgr.exe

- Ctrl + Alt + Delete, click Task Manager

- Right click taskbar, click Task Manager

(the most basic but important is the Image Name (process) and Description)

1.  Right click for unknown process  (Mostly if unknown, their Description is EMPTY!) and open file location.

2. Once open, check the folder name, location, the application.

For example : the folder name is Intel(R).. so you know this software is for display and the process is CLEAN. 

3. Google the NAME! and delete! (if virus). Most process that having such a weird name you must try Google it first! before you end the process or delete the application immediately AND svchost.exe is YOUR's networking system, so don't be afraid of it UNLESS you mess up with firewall or networking stuff like open ports (rarely virus will infect this file).

4. Run msconfig.exe, go to Startup tab and do the research! (Google the name!)

Disable any updater in startup can improve connection speed :)

TROUBLESHOOTING :-

Is the application cannot be deleted? : [Click Here]

Is the Task Manager cannot run/open? : [Click Here]

Make sure hidden file, system file is set to show in folder setting.

My tips :- I've been using [Free Antivirus] for almost 6 ~ 7 years without getting any virus infection. 

-Why still people using paid AV? Well, not all people are smarter and AV is a part of world business.

-Before clicking a link, be aware of the URL that will lead you to the next destination.

-Before download/install unfamiliar software (seriously you can't get your pc faster anyway with some software) think twice and do the research (Google first) like PC Performer, that's just .. sigh*

-Before installing software, please.. (I know you click NEXT so fast) avoid from installing Toolbar! Especially :- Babylon, AVG. Lastly, use your eyes.. why still you click accept on this? :-

if you always like to click Accept on all thing, you might installing a spyware, bloatware or adware.

That's it. Be CAREFUL on the INTERNET. Somebody is watching you..(joking but not impossible)

How To Fix Logon Failure Account Currently Disabled (Windows XP)

This tutorial will teach you how to troubleshoot the sharing problem between Windows XP to Windows 7 or Windows 8. Example : Windows XP cannot access Windows 7, cannot access printers, shared folder, logon failure or disabled.

a) Logon failure : account currently disabled.

 (\\cranberry is a Windows 7 computer name)

1. Download : Link Layer Topology Discovery (LLTD) for Windows XP (FIX)

Install it. v5 for Windows XP SP2 and older and v6 for Windows XP SP3.

2. Go to Control Panel.

3. Click on User Accounts.

4. Select user account. (note : for another user, you must do the same thing like this again)

5. Click on Manage my network passwords.

6. Click Add.

7. Add some info. (cranberry) is my computer name (W7 Home Premium) with shared folder.

Server : Add your computer name (Windows 7) which was sharing folder : \\servername 

User name : Username in the computer (Windows 7) you've created : servername\username

Password : Password in the local user/group (Windows 7) you've created.

About the username & password (add/delete user)

this in Windows 7 Home Premium, use netplwiz.exe

if you use Windows 7 Ultimate or Windows Server, please use gpedit.msc

8. You're done. Try typing \\servername or \\ipaddress in Run box.

Computer name is servername. Use \\servername to get access to shared folder. Make sure the security setting of shared folder is correct (permission) Check here : [Click Here].

b) Logon failure : Guest account is currently disabled.

1. Run "gpedit.msc"

2. Go to Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment. Then, find the "Deny access to this computer from the network" and remove Guest

After that, restart your computer.

Workaround :- if you use Virtualization (VMware, VirtualBox) mostly if you quick install you'll get the problem b) if you use "administrator" as a username. I suggest you download & install the FIX first. I hope my article helps you.
